About our lash lifts
A lash lift is a great way to add the appearance of length, volume and definition to your natural lashes.
The lash lift procedure has revolutionised old, inadequate perming techniques. Using silicone pads instead of perm rods, this new technique can lift, straighten or curl, and lengthen your own natural lashes to create a brighter, fuller, wide eyed look. No need for extensions with this super low maintenance treatment that will last you 6-8 weeks and combined with a tint that will have you leaving the mascara behind.
Our Lash Lift treatment is one of our most popular services, attracting some beauty influencers and clients from all across the UK. Check out our AS SEEN ON page to see who's loving their last lift!
Lash lift FAQ'S
Q: Can a Lash Lift be used to compliment other treatments?
A: Yes! A lash Lift is enhanced when you use an eyelash growth product, such as Max2 Tonic Essence Gold, which is available in the studio. While the tonic helps your lashes grow longer and get thicker, our lash lift process controls straight or overly curly lashes by giving them a uniform lifted look. An eyelash tint is applied during the treatment to enhance the look of your lashes.
Q: Is a Lash Lift the same as an eyelash perm?
A: No the Lash lift is a new, improved procedure, overcoming the ‘over curled’ look of the perm. Whilst the chemical procedure is identical to a perm, the difference is in the results. By ditching the old fashioned perm rollers which curled back the lashes to the extent of the ‘dolly look’, the silicone pads used for a lash lift, literally lifts the lash from the root in either a straight or curled, upwards fashion that produces length and a bright eyed enhanced look.
Q: Does the Lash Lift procedure hurt?
A: Not at all, the procedure is totally painless. You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.
Q: Is the procedure safe?
A: Yes. The products used are safe to use on the eye area, they are even safe to use with contact lenses! (Although we do recommend taking them out before the treatment for maximum comfort.
Q: Will the Lash Lift damage my natural lashes??
A: No. The products we use are safe to use on the lashes and a conditioning treatment is applied at the end of the service.
Q: How long does a lash lift take?
A: On average the whole procedure can take anything between 45minutes - 1hour 15minutes.
Q: How long will a Lash Lift last?
A: A Lash Lift can last 6-8 weeks but can vary from person to person. There is no need for any maintenance appointments in between but you will need to have the process repeated every 6-8 weeks to lift the new hair growth. There are some situations that may cause the lift to drop/weaken prematurely such as swimming, use off harsh products or heat. If you find that your lift does not last the full 2 months, you can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks of having the initial treatment, but not before.
Q: Will I have a reaction to the lotion?
A: Very few people have a reaction to the lotion but that doesn’t mean you won’t be one of them. What one person reacts to, another is fine with. This is why you can opt to have a patch test a minimum of 24 hours beforehand. A patch test is quick and simple. It consists of us placing a drop of a couple of lotions behind the ear which needs to be left on for 12-24 hours to test for any irritation, itching, swelling, burning etc.
Q: I wear contact lenses, can I have this procedure?
A: Yes. However, we will ask you to remove them temporarily during the treatment as the eyes will be closed throughout.
Q: Can I wear makeup after my lash lift?
A: Yes but it is advised that you leave your lashes untouched for at least 24 hours after your treatment. You may find that there is no need for mascara anyway, but if you wish to make your lashes even fuller, a non-waterproof mascara is advised as the removal of waterproof mascaras can be harsh on the lashes and weaken the lift.
Q: How do I clean my eyes?
A: An oil-free remover is best. We recommend LashBase Foaming Cleanser, which is available to buy in salon or Neal's Yard Oil Free Makeup Remover, which can be found here.
Q: Can I use an eyelash curler?
A: No. There will be no need for an eyelash curler as this treatment gives a much better result than using a curler, But more importantly, using one may weaken and damage your lashes.
Q: How often can I have a lash lift?
A: A lash lift will begin to naturally drop after about 8 weeks and your lashes will be back to their natural look. The lashes should drop evenly and will not look out of place. You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 weeks if you feel you need to, or you can wait until they are back to their natural state.
