My names Kate and I have been writing a beauty and lifestyle blog, Kates Beautiful Blog, for about a year and a half now.
I met Jamie about 6 months ago, when I decided it was about time I took control of my life and actually seek professional help to sort out my eyebrows. There is not another human on earth that I would trust with such a task but Jamie is so professional, comforting, and great to have a chat with, that I instantly felt at ease when it came to something so important. Check out her brow services and I can guarantee you will not regret it.
So, I thought I would put together some of my favourite make up items from the high street.
L'oreal Infallible 24H Foundation: This is my most favourite foundation. I have been using this for about 3 years now and its definitely my the best high street foundation, in my opinion. This is affordable, medium to high coverage which leaves your skin looking flawless.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: this is a beauty blogger classic. Super affordable and provides great coverage for under you eyes. Blends nicely without creasing and for just £3.99 you can't go wrong.
MUA LUXE highlight: I do this stuff, the colour is beautiful and the shimmer is pretty but not over the top. You need to be slightly careful that you don't get the powder everywhere, but with a gentle hand this is very pretty
Sleek blush in Rose Gold: I have been in love with this blush for a very long time. Its shimmery without coating your face in glitter and I believe this would suit all skin types.
MUA Captivation Palette: This little make up palette from MUA is lovely. The colours are just great for this season and has everything you need for a strong full blown dark smokey eye, or a more subtle look. I use the gold colour over my lid as I have green eyes and really makes them pop!
Chunky glitter: If I am really going out there with the eyes I use chunky glitter, and a fixing gel. Apply a little of the gel to wherever you want the glitter and use your finger to dab it on glently. I would do this after foundation but before the rest of your face incase you have some drop out.
Benefit They're Real Liner: I am such a eyeliner-phob, but with this even I can get the perfect cat eye! Its simple design means that you have a great deal of control.
BareMinerals Frame & Define brow pencil: As I said I always get my brows done before I go out, however, if I really want to go all out, I use this.
Depending on my eye look I would choose different colour but this Lip Lava from I Heart Make up, is great. You can pick this up from superdrug for just £2.99 and it lasts really nicely. I wouldn't say it would stand up to a 4 course dinner and wine, but with its small size and easy application, you can just pop in your bag and top up throughout the night and will stay on when you have a drink.
BarryM setting spray: To help your make up keep up with you all night, I recommend this setting spray. I use the Dewy finish, and they also have a matte finish!
So there we have my high street favourites!
